Is this still being worked on? :D

Hi Bok!

I took time away from this project to work on Life After Magic, which released this March. And since then I’ve taking a bit of a break from writing for health reasons.

But this project keeps coming back to my mind. I might make a patch to update a few things and re-familiarize myself with the code. But as for further development, I’d want to take a step back and make some big-picture changes first.

If I begin working on it again I’ll post here.

Thanks for your support! Means a lot that people still think about this.

Thanks, Gwyn

I can't wait for the full game! This is so damn good!

Thank you! I've been working on another project (Life After Magic) over the past few months, but soon I hope to get back to making HyperLove into a full game!

Obviously you can only say so much about a demo, but... if the whole game is the same quality as this sliver of it, this will probably be the best game i've ever played. 10/10 premise, killer execution - it would be easy to coast off of the absurdity at its core but the writing really isn't that lazy. and that hook at the end is PERFECT, makes me feel like the concept is going to be used to its full potential, not just... thoughtlessly, for shock value. i keep telling myself to stop playing demos and getting my hopes up (for when they inevitably don't pan out) but honestly, while my hopes have definitely been up-ped, playing this was worth it, no matter what does or doesn't happen next. sorry if this comment makes no sense, i'll try a more efficient way to communicate the basic sentiment: !!!!!!! good.

Loved it! Cried from the very first sentence, plus the music helps with the mood. Can't wait to see the full version. Do you have Tumblr I can follow?

Thank you so much! I'm glad you resonated with the game.

I used to have a Tumblr back in like 2010, but making a new one might not be a bad idea! I'll let you know if I do. 💜

Like everyone else already said, I absolutely adore the art and UI direction! Honestly I got pretty teared up already, it really hooked me in so far, and I can't wait to play more!

the aesthetics are SO on point! the artistic direction really adds so much to the story, I absolutely love it. fantastic demo and excited to see how it progresses!

A short demo, but I’m already so very invested to see where the rest of game will take us! The aesthetics is absolutely gorgeous, music super fitting, and writing while funny with a somber tone, still has a sort of haunting towards it. I can’t wait for the full release!

I'm so... hyped... for the rest of this story. It feels like Black Mirrow meets romance. Idk, it was weirdly emotional for how short the demo is. Beautiful work, please finish it!
